Someone else is talking: STFU
Someone else’s choices & decisions: STFU if you don’t agree
Someone sharing their personal boundaries: STFU if you don’t agree
Actively listen to others: STFU
Politics & Religion: STFU unless invited to debate
About to religiously or politically proselytize: STFU
Don't agree with someone else's beliefs: STFU
About to cuss someone out: STFU
Someone else is being mindful & still: STFU
About to tell lies: STFU
Don't approve of tattoos and body piercings: STFU
Tempted to judge others: STFU
About to say something mean, cruel, judgmental about someone else to them or to others about them: STFU
About to say something arrogant or bullying to someone else: STFU
About to say something not helpful: STFU!
About to voice unsolicited advice or reprimand: STFU
Don’t approve of someone or something (doesn’t apply to public figures who, by the nature of their jobs, are subject to approval/disapproval): STFU
About to make fun of others: STFU
Think you’re better than someone else: STFU
About to be a know-it-all: STFU
You notice someone has gained weight, lost their hair, etc. and want to say something to or about them about it: STFU
About to brag about your possessions, where you life, how much money you make, your social power, etc.: STFU
Don’t approve of someone’s lifestyle: STFU
Don’t agree with someone’s pronouns, gender preferences: STFU
Not certain your “facts” are true: STFU
Not knowledgable about a topic: STFU
About to say something that is not empathetic or not compassionate: STFU
You’re about to be a ‘Karen’ or a ‘Ken’: STFU
Those are my top reasons to STFU. Yes, I slip up sometimes, and then I get to remind myself of how I’d rather respond. What are your STFU suggestions?
