Bucket List for the Last Four Months of 2023

In 2007, the film, “The Bucket List, starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, [came out; it] follows two men dying of terminal cancer who decide to live life to the fullest before ‘kicking the bucket.’ The phrase was reportedly coined by the movie's screenwriter, Justin Zackham, who in 1999, wrote himself a list of once-in-a-lifetime experiences” (https://www.intheknow.com/post/when-did-the-term-bucket-list-popular/). Did you know that the term, ‘bucket list,’ is that recent? I didn’t either! With only four months left of 2023, what’s in your bucket list to see you through until we celebrate the dawning of 2024?

I’ll start the conversation. My last four months of 2023 bucket list includes the following:

• I will complete two more trips to bring me joy and delight traveling for pleasure, to see beautiful places, to see friends, and to experience new adventures.

• I will figure out how to fully use our Ninja 13-in-1 air fryer/toaster/convection oven/roaster.

• I will have read seven more books.

• I will have finished writing my third novella in the series to have it ready for proofing/revising/editing.

• I will work up to 25 lb. dumbbells for my triceps and biceps exercises.

• I will learn something new each week.

• I will encourage others every day.

• I will write in my gratitude journal each week.
